What is Q-Symphony on Samsung TVs
Q Symphony is a new development by Samsung Audio Lab engineers. It runs on Samsung’s premium televisions. This software allows you to create a more surround sound using a soundbar with Q Symphony support and TV speakers. It makes a sound like in a concert hall.
TV & Soundbar Compatibility
It works with the 2020 soundbars of the HW-Q60T, HW-Q70T, HW-Q800T series. TVs of the Q900T, Q800T, Q90T, Q80T series. Gradually supported TV models will be added. Since this is a software solution, the limitation of the number of supported TV models is made to gradate the capabilities of TVs.
How Q-Symphony Works
If earlier, when connecting the soundbar to the TV, the TV speakers were turned off so as not to interfere with the soundbar. Then in the 2020 models, Samsung engineers managed to synchronize the operation of the soundbar and the main speakers of the TV. If you have a soundbar and enable this function on the TV, the operation of the TV speakers and the soundbar speakers is synchronized software. As the number of speakers increases, a more surround sound is created. To create a high-quality surround sound, the reproducible audio file on the TV must support 5.1 or 7.1 formats.
